As a result, your breaker will probably trip within the first minute of the cycle.

Faulty Heating Element

If your heating element has a short, this can also result in a tripped breaker. With this issue, typically the dryer will run for a short period of time and them trip. You will also notice that, because there is not heat, your clothes will not even be warm.

The Circuit Breaker Itself

In truth, the majority of cases in which a dryer trips your circuit breaker will be caused by the circuit breaker itself. A telltale sign is if other appliances are doing it too. However, this is not always the case. Sometimes it is a case of the fuses connected to the dryer going out that can cause a trip.
