Waited a week to get an appointment, Technician showed up while l was at work and my daughter dealt with him. He pulled a cupcake pan and two cookie sheets out of my broiler and said that they couldn’t be in there and that’s why the oven pilot light was not igniting(they had been in there for 10-11 months with zero issues). Said the oven worked fine and left, my daughter sadly didn’t think to question him. I get home a few hours later and the oven still doesn’t work. So l have to wait another week for an appointment. Company contacts me and says they want to send the same technician because if they send someone else and it’s the same issue the second technician doesn’t get paid (not sure how that’s my fault, sounds like a bad business model to me and l didn’t want the same guy) so after going back and forth with some rude and unprofessional lady on the phone l tell her l don’t want that “retard” back in my house. She gets offended but l stand by what l said, l finally give in and say “you know what, go ahead and send the same technician I’d like to ask him a few questions anyway”. Lady on the phone changes her tune and tells me now she doesn’t feel comfortable sending him(like I’m going to beat him up or something childish). Long story short company refused to service my house, but the company l bought my house from actually did what this crappy company should of done. End of story l got a new oven and this company is without a doubt the worst company I’ve ever had the displeasure of dealing with.

Made it Worse

Our new Whirlpool refrigerator/freezer was installed with a defective magnetic gasket around the freezer drawer. The gasket was compressed over ~8" causing a gap in the seal, and allowing warm air into the freezer. The technician stated that it was fine and did not need replacing. Then he proceeded to install a gasket that had a compressed area of ~22". Freezer now has frost and icicles all over the inside due to the large unsealed area allowing warm air into the freezer. Upon learning of the error I left a polite message requesting a call back to fix the issue. All the next day, no response. I hope they locate a defect-free gasket and decide to remedy the situation.

We purchased a washer and dryer from Home Depot and have had problems with them for the past two years. During this time, Home Depot has sent out techs from two other companies. This time we were fortunate to be routed to the Appliance Repair Specialists. They service over 50,000 square miles of Central and Southern California. They have been the easiest company I have ever had to deal with. They immediately set up an appointment for us and followed through with texts, emails, and phone call reminders. The efficiency in communication has been a true pleasure. Patrick Carraway was our repair specialist. He was able to immediately and correctly identify our problem. The parts were ordered and an appointment was set up for installation. They followed through with more texts, email, and phone call reminders. Patrick arrived on time for both appointments was professional and quickly got the job accomplished. Our washer and dryer now work as if they were brand new. We would encourage anyone who has a repair issue to call Appliance Repair Specialists!
