I was lucky to have a knowledgeable technician. He found the problem and ordered the part one day. The next day he returned and installed the part and made sure our washing machine worked ok. He even leveled up the unit. I had an extended warranty so there was no charge. Very happy..

Great Service from Bill. Appliance Repair...not so much.




Bill was great to work with. Very knowledgeable and personable. He diagnosed the problem and got it fixed despite the company he works for. I would call him everytime for my repair needs. Appliance Repair out of Bakersfield would be my only complaint. They were unreliable, unapologetically rescheduled me multiple times and would not be accommodating after doing so. That company is contracted by Jenn-Air. Jenn-Air should look for someone else to represent them...Again, Bill was great. Don't confuse the two. He is a quality guy that Appliance Repair should be thankful to have.

I have always found Appliance Repair Specialists to be efficient and cost effective. This time was no different. They repaired my ice maker quickly and left no mess. My only complaint was that my invoice was not broken down by parts and labor. I called and requested an itemized invoice but have received nothing. 🙁

Purchased a new Samsung washer and dryer. Heard metal noises in the washer drum. Service rep came out and said it was the ball bearings. There was no problem at all. He did a courtesy test and gave tips on maintenance.

Chris has been very knowledgeable, but the problem is seems to be beyond repair. I am extremely frustrated, I purchased a new refrigerator 3 weeks ago and it has never worked. Chris is doing all he can, but it seems everyone else is not doing their best

This is the second time that I have dealt with Mr. Kevin McKellar; first time with the same washing machine was seven years ago! He was then and still is, one of the best service technicians that I have ever had in my home. Kevin is very knowledgeable, direct and responds in a professional manner to any/ all questions asked. He knows what he is doing, and gets right down to work. His businesslike approach and service have been outstanding. Accolades to Mr. Kevin McKellar; if another appliance problem presents itself in the future (and I'm certain that it will), I will call "Appliance Repair Specialists" and ask for an appointment with Service Tech McKellar.

Customer service from Main Office was great but the technician's customer service was not so great. He was very impatient, violent at times, showed frustration and disgust. Found a small broken piece on the floor, but from where not sure. Had to make my children where not around the technician.

Not so happy with extended service plan




It was very difficult to schedule an appointment due to the wide time range which is only narrowed down the day before. Also the 3 days that service is available in my area are not the best ones for my schedule. I paid for 3 years of service and now I regret that decision.

Repairmans first visit did not fix problem. The cost was $416 dollars that did not fix anything. The repairmans second attempt fixed the problem. This part was only $100 dollars. When the repairman pulled out the refrigerator on the second visit he failed to put down a protective board on the hardwood floor and scratched the floor when he pulled out the refrigerator. Called your company and reported the damage to the floor and was told someone would contact me about repair, to date no one has called. In closing yes the refrigerator was repaired but I paid to much, $300 dollar part replaced was not bad, it only needed a $100 dollar part. Secondly I ended up with a scratched hardwood floor. Not a happy customer.

Whirlpool has terrible customer service/practices but




Erick at Appliance Repair Specialists makes up for it. We will not be purchasing any future Whirlpool products but Erick's diagnosis of a completely new, never used dishwasher's inoperability was quite professional. When finally repaired on Nov. 14, we "hope" it works.

Jesus is an outstanding service mechanic. He’s done a very good job considering what he had to work on. Our refrigerator is top of the line and four years old. It’s had a plethora of minor problems since we purchased it. Then the compressor went out. Thank the Lord for extended warranties. It would have cost a ton of money. He had to replace a lot of parts, then 36 hours later the fridge quit cooling a second time. On Jesus’ third return, he found a leak in the second condenser which wasn’t there the first time. Yesterday he repaired that problem and the fridge is working fine at the moment. Hopefully nothing else happens. So far, we were without the fridge for over three weeks. That is certainly not the fault of Jesus or ARS, just bad luck.

Chris called me in advance of my appointment to ask for model and serial numbers for my dishwasher before his arrival because the call center rep did not ask for it when setting up appointment. Upon arrival, he was very polite and professional. He easily repaired my dishwasher after another appliance repair company took it apart for diagnosis of an issue and left the dispensers unplugged. Chris gave me an estimate for the original issue & told me the parts were available when the other company said they were not! This 10 year old dishwasher matches an entire line in my custom home and I am so thankful to find out from Chris that parts are still available! I’ve had an on-going issue with my washer which has not been resolved. On top of being 30 past the time window given, the technician that arrived was extremely rude and unprofessional. When explaining the issue to him, he interrupted me several times and would not let me finish. Even when he asked me a question and I would start to answer and he would still interrupt. It got to the point where I had to tell him to let me finish speaking. At the end, he basically told me I can’t find anything wrong and walked out the door. It’s unfortunate because the technician prior to this guy was super nice and provided great service even though he was unable to resolve the issue.

I was very happy with the technician and the work he did. The automated appointment recording was horrible. I couldn’t understand it and when it asked for me to confirm by pressing 1, I hung up. The recording did not even come close to saying my name and just said some random letters. Really a bad system. Too bad because everything else was fine.

Stay away from this company!




Dealing with your company was a nightmare. I was never told there was a service call charge and labor fee. Maytag said repairs were complimentary. Service tech said just parts. Nobody from your customer service team said anything about a service call and labor charge BEFORE showing up at my door. I wanted to discuss this with the manager Dave but he never called me back as I was promised when I left my messages. Looked up reviews on your company and I see I’m not alone in my opinion. Dishonest, unorganized and unreliable are recurring themes. You’re lucky you get warranty calls because you’d never stay in business otherwise. If there was a stronger term than unsatisfied it applies to my experience with your company. Absolutely terrible experience.

Raymond did a great job, and we are, at this point in time, very happy with our refrigerator. It appears that Raymond may have solved the problem (a frost-free freezer frosting up) by replacing the door. This was a brand new refrigerator when the problem began, so we have no idea why it happened. Raymond is an extremely personable guy, and he has a great personality - great customer service!

Worst manager and customer service EVER!!!!




The worst manager I’ve ever encountered!!! Tech said problem was fixed and left. Later when I tried to do my first load, got the SAME error code!!!!! Called to have tech come back and just got the run around. Then talked to manager who has deplorable customer service skills wouldn’t even send the tech back or even attempt to contact Lowes to state that the error wasn’t fixed properly, told him I’d request that their contract with Lowe’s be terminated only to have him say ‘go ahead...’ This man should NOT be a manager or deal with the public in any way!! Called Lowes back to complain and was guaranteed they’d file a report and requested a new company come out to ACTUALLY fix my problem. I’m loosing money not working will this company does nothing to resolve the issue!!!!!!!!!!!!! Will definitely contact the BBB and every website I can contact!
