Inspected both and connections of gas supply line. Verified connection of brass adapter to dryer installed by Home Depot. Installer is leaking gas verified with use of soap bubbles. Please see attached. Quick pic photographs. Advise customer installation corrections are not covered under the manufactures warranty. Referred customer to Home Depot to request installer. Return to correct the installation. Left gas supply shut off. No parts use. No charge to customer. Job complete.

"VERIFIED A 2001 built Whirlpool Gas dryer. JB out 7/27/23. Customer states unit runs but timer does not advance (in Automatic Dry) cycle. Dryer has NoHeat.Upon arrival corrected listed Serial number and verified year of manufacture as 2001.Tested dryer in Timed Dry cycle. Verified timer does advance but dryer produces No Heat. Further inspection finds dryer was installed using Thin Foil ducting material. Advised customer per supplied installation guide from manufacturer, do not use white plastic or thin foil, tape ducting material as they both pose a potential fire, hazard and risk for loss of Life. Removed front cover and found failed hot surface Ignitor. Installed replacement Ignitor for Truck Stock 279311. Reassembled unit and tested operation. Tested operation. Burner now ignites and dryer heats again. Verified timer DOES indeed advance in Automatic Cycle now.No charge to customer.JOB COMPLETE ; used 1 279311 ( IGNITOR) from stock"

"Cx said they think something was caught in the drain pump. Water still in unit upon arrival. Did manual drain and found some resistance in the pump. Removed and found debris inside that were locking up the motor removed and retested. Unit now draining fine. Cx Also, concerned with popping noise. Was able to re-create it in the transmission. It was pretty typical noise based on the units age. I did not recommend she change the transmission until it starts to fail."
