JB out 5/13/22 upon arrival verified DOP as 4/22/22. Found newly delivered gas drier not connected to gas supply. Further inspected found installer attempted to install the existing (old) yellow gas supply flex line directly to dryer without the use of the required in-line adapter causing physical damage . No new flex line had been purchased. Attempt to install existing gas supply line has damaged the threads of the gas valve and will need to be replaced. Spoke with WhirlpoolTech line representative Kirt Who documented issue and issued SR FILE # 7733651115 . A new gas valve (WP8318277) will be need to be ordered and installed in order to ensure no gas leak. Refer customer to customer service for potential concession authorizations. Advise customer a brand new gas supply flex line kit including adapters must be purchased and installed. Also remind customer installations are not included in manufactures repair warranty service. No repair made. No charge the customer. Job complete
