Repair man mislead me into thinking my water was not to melt the pods told me to turn up the water, did that, waited several day then he said I needed a new sump pump whickhnwas going to be 600. I called another repairman and he actually charged me a service call,again and there was a popsicle stick caught he pulled it out dishwasher worked fine, I’m requesting my 125 back

Poorest service experience I’ve ever had.

Ridiculous! a 1hour hold on phone call to talk to someone. First service repair only lasted two hours then returned to same problem. According to Juan ,”It was a defective product”. 2 nd service repair agent said,”I’m sending you a Repair Specialist, they have more experience” Unfortunately, it was Juan G again. I was as disappointed as he was! He never touched the fridge. He ignored my questions by typing a letter into his laptop. He stated,”I have to tell my boss exactly what’s wrong with the fridge”. He asked to take a picture of the model number information inside so I opened the door for him. While taking the photo and typing inside my fridge his greased hair repeatedly rubbed along the inside of my fridge. After several minutes of this, I finally had to ask him if I could please close the fridge and he continue typing outside of it. He silently put away his laptop and said,” There is nothing wrong with the fridge door”. Then he walked out of my house ignoring my questions. I informed him that I was disgusted and was calling the company to report him. I called and waited 45 minutes to speak to his manager. The manager was rude and scheduled another appointment with another technician he had in the area (his words) the following week for 8/14/20 8am-12pm. This was a NO -SHOW! I will contact Home Depot’s Corporate Office for assistance. I’ve never experienced such unprofessional service like this and no one else should have to either.

Waited a week to get an appointment, Technician showed up while l was at work and my daughter dealt with him. He pulled a cupcake pan and two cookie sheets out of my broiler and said that they couldn’t be in there and that’s why the oven pilot light was not igniting(they had been in there for 10-11 months with zero issues). Said the oven worked fine and left, my daughter sadly didn’t think to question him. I get home a few hours later and the oven still doesn’t work. So l have to wait another week for an appointment. Company contacts me and says they want to send the same technician because if they send someone else and it’s the same issue the second technician doesn’t get paid (not sure how that’s my fault, sounds like a bad business model to me and l didn’t want the same guy) so after going back and forth with some rude and unprofessional lady on the phone l tell her l don’t want that “retard” back in my house. She gets offended but l stand by what l said, l finally give in and say “you know what, go ahead and send the same technician I’d like to ask him a few questions anyway”. Lady on the phone changes her tune and tells me now she doesn’t feel comfortable sending him(like I’m going to beat him up or something childish). Long story short company refused to service my house, but the company l bought my house from actually did what this crappy company should of done. End of story l got a new oven and this company is without a doubt the worst company I’ve ever had the displeasure of dealing with.

Problem Not Solved

When the tech who came he was extremely rude to our housekeeper which clearly spoke English but insisted to tell me that she doesn’t understand him in front of her face nor would he even look at her in the face when she clearly speaks English. I felt it was very disrespectful and rude to treat her this way. He also tried blaming the ice machine not working from “too much stuff in the freeze” which is unheard of. I’ve owned multiple Whirlpool fridges and never had an issue the door is always closed and if it’s not there is an alarm which notifies you to close it. So now I’m left with still no ice coming out of the fridge and my housekeeper feeling disrespected and uncomfortable. I also have photos of how it’s still not making ice since the tech threatened us saying he took photos of meat in the fridge blocking it which is not true at all. I even emptied the freezer and the same thing was happening no ice.

He screamed at me and said he can’t take it anymore and he can’t take my attitude because I WAS TRANSLATING IN KOREAN TO MY MOTHER WHAT HE WAS SAYING TO ME! And frankly I think my mother and I have every right to be slightly annoyed with this entire process cuz we needed your technicians to come over 7 times for the same issue all within 2 months. He is a rude worker who does not deserve the title he has in the company.

Not what I expected

I guess some repair people can just LOOK at an appliance and say nothing is wrong with it but at least open it up or pretend to work on it before you say there’s nothing you can do to fix it. What a waste of time and the appliance still has an issue that he didn’t even attempt to repair. Also, I received a phone call before the service that the repair person would wash their hands before assessing the appliance and after they were done. The person did neither.

Less than stellar

Joe certainly knows HOW to repair appliances to a certain extent. But the problems we had were 1) he left our machine disgustingly dirty. His hands were clearly quite dirty when he started and with the mix of water just turned in to gross, dripping dirt from my machine. Scares me actually in the age of covid that he clearly does not take care of hygiene. 2) He was in such a rush to finish (he told me numerous times he had a very “light” day and was trying to get everything done as soon as possible), so much so that screws were partially secured and one was even cockeyed, leading to a leak I had to fix. Finally 3) one piece he even put in backwards in his haste, once again leaving it to me to fix his errors. All this makes me wonder, did his “repairs” do more harm than good? Nice guy as well, but certainly did not take pride in his work and left me fixing a lot of his fixes. Just hope he doesn’t have to come out again.

We had a bit of mis-communication on time, but when we did connect Leon knew what he was talking about, ordered the part, and was right back the next week with the part and fixed it in 1/2 the time he thought it would take. The office staff, helpful, nice and informed. BUT, the robo calls are annoying and not always correct.

I had to wait 2 weeks from the date of my initial phone call for service to the completion of my job. It took DAYS for the tech to be scheduled to arrive and then a week later I was told the part had not arrived yet. And even when the parts had arrived, their policy is that the tech who came the first time has to come back- that delayed me another 3 or 4 days because he was off for a few days and they couldn't send someone else. When the part arrives, the part should be installed- it's not cool to keep customers waiting.

Both the initial service call and repair call technicians arrived on time, were courteous and professional, and went about their work quickly. Your company's automated appointment alert and confirmation system works well. While I rate my overall experience as very good, I think the $200 labor charge for the 45 minutes it took the repair tech to do the work is excessive. I had your company perform the repair since it was in part done under warranty, and it was Maytag Corp. that directed me towards using you. However I would hesitate to use ARS again due to the very high labor charges. It's the high labor charge that caused me to reduce my overall experience rating to three stars. It has also been my experience with other appliance repair companies that the cost of the initial diagnostic service call comes off the total cost of the repair job if I go through with it and is not a separate charge as is your policy. That charge is usually in the range of $65-$85, whereas yours was $115. There was one other issue I think could have been handled better. It turned out that the part under warranty, the electronic control panel was unavailable through your suppliers and my initial repair appointment was cancelled. I had called to check in several times and was told there wasn't any firm date on when it might arrive. Finally on my third or fouth time checking in, one of your people advised me to call Maytag and see if they could get the part. That's what I did and, and why my repair finally got done. While I appreciate the tip and the resolution, I don't understand why your company couldn't have reached out to Maytag as soon as it was clear you couldn't get the part. If there's some reason you're not allowed to that it should have been explained to me right up front and I could have called Maytag a month earlier to make the request for the part.

The repair technician was certainly personable and knowledgeable about my washer. With only minor investigation he immediately knew what was wrong. Seems this problem is widespread with this Maytag washer... Had the parts come in when expected and had we not been contacted three times telling us the parts were in but then canceling the appointment within the last half hour telling us the parts really weren't in, we'd be really happy with our service. The wait for parts got so bad, Whirlpool extended our warranty an additional 6 months! Knowing a bit about such appliances myself, it seemed obvious that I could have had the repair part in my hand myself within three days. How this took over a month escapes me. But it's fixed now and I'm exercising it to the hilt. After all, I have over a months worth of laundry to do!

Horrible Service, NEVER AGAIN

I called for service because my refrigerator has been giving off a extremely bad smell from the back where the motor is located. Once the service man entered my home he complained that rat or mice droplets were outside my door. He asked if it was possible a mouse came in. I honestly sweep my porch daily as a chore so whatever he claimed to see was irrelevant and nonexistent. He only spoke of a mouse the whole time. As I pointed out the location of the smell he ranted again about a mouse. He told me this is common what he has seen in other pupils home. I was very dissatisfied by the service because the problem was not resolved, he ranted about mice, and compared me to other homes he has visited. I have been a home owner over 20 years and have never witnessed a mouse/rat situation in nor outside of my home. This is the worst experience I have ever encountered. As he exited I ask him to point out where the mouse droplets were and he ignored me. So I asked once again and he said, have a good day.

Where I’m disappointed is the product, In March the refrigerator broke down they replaced it with a faulty part. In May the part broke down again . A little more then the 45 days required to honor the Full warranty . Which meant I had to pay to have a built in refrigerator moved twice $(800.00)Then the replacement part took Months to get. Which I find incompetent . So I have been without a refrigerator on off since March. The insurance company not helpful. I can’t believe a company like Whirlpool has so few parts in there inventory or so that many compressorS break down they run out. Whirlpool needs To have theIr products made in America AGAIN.

DISHWASHER WHIRLPOOL KDTE104EWH3 Checked for faults and ran a service test. 7-1(heater disabled) 6-4(float switch open). Wash motor did not start. Pulled unit out of the cabinet and checked the harness security. The wash motor started when I did this. There is a possibility that the wash motor is bad and me bumping it got got it to start or the connection was loose. If the wash motor is bad I would have to replace the sump assembly. ; ordrng 1 WPW10605057 (pump and motor assy)
