Found washer constantly running lights off retested machine after control and pump stop tested on a fill a wash and spin unit testing out ok advise customer to load properly for better response and less detergent.

Found pump issue removed and replaced pump unit now working properly.

Customer states that on every load the dryer will stop. There are no fault codes stored. The gas flame looks good. The flame is blue and tight. Sensor bar test ok. I adjusted the dryness level up. When I ran a HEAVY DUTY cycled that had cloths in it the sensors worked. Once the cloths were dry the unit went into a cool down mode.

"JB out 10/16/24.Customer states newly installed dryer worked when first installed but was very very hot. After several days dryer would continue to run but no more heat. Upon arrival tested dryer in normal cycle verified no heat. Inspected back of dryer and found Lowes installer has used thin foil type ducting, which opposes a potential risk for fire and loss of life. Advise customer to contact Lowes to have installer. Return to remove thin, full type ducting in favor of either galvanized, ducting material or Reggie flex heavy aluminum ducting material to alleviate potential risk for fire. Further inspection finds of exhaust ducting where exits the house is using a vent hood that is angled downward and is positioned 1/2 inch above the concrete slab, providing a nearly 100% restriction. This is part of the house ducting and not part of the dryer. This is caused the dryer to activate the protection overheat circuit, which now needs to be replaced. This is not a defective material worker ship with the dryer and therefore is not covered under the manufacture warranty. Advise customer will submit claim repair to General authorization.General Electric authorized or declined repair malfunctions due to incorrect installation which must be corrected by the homeowner. Advise customer to have homeowner remove the angled vent hood and favor of a louver exhaust vent hood and make sure that it has a clear path of the ex of the house that is non-restricted allowing the dryer to properly vent heat, steam and went out of the machine and away from the house. Found the thermal fuse that supplies power to the user interface is open.
