JB out 10/27/22. Installed replacement MAINTOP ( user interface) and Main Wire Harness as instructed by GE T.A.G. Reassembled and tested operation. Unit powers up and with correct cooling vessel on burner does not heat. After 3-7 seconds unit acts as if the is no cooking vessel detected on the burner and shuts off. Installed GE Smart H Q diagnostic device. Recorded stored F codes F61 and F62: Cannot communicate with induction module. Contacted GE T.A.G. and spoke with Bob. Bob review all service visit notes and classified the unit as non repairable then issued Case#08575818. Customer will contact GE for resolution.

I tried to explain to the customer over the phone what the smell is and why smoke may be present. Customer wanted me to explain what the inside of the oven is coated with and why there is a smell and if if affects the taste of the food. "Unit was noisy as it was in use, found the blower wheel was loose onto the motor shaft. Installed blower wheel properly checked ops, the unit was no longer noisy. The unit had been moved into the kitchen, no gas connection available. Upon completing the repair, the customer wanted me to move the unit into the laundry area to make sure it was heating properly, informed them I am unable to move the unit myself due to liability, the customer opted to move and install the unit themselves. Once the unit was moved into place, ran a timed cycle at high temperature, the unit gave off a burnt smell at the beginning, but faded away. Most likely plastic shavings from the blower wheel rubbing against the housing. The unit is working properly now."
