Will need to order parts to replace gearcase. Tried to separate basket and gearcase and was unable to. It is seized. Unit needs extensive work. Follow up when available for a lengthy repair. While ordering parts the tub assembly needed to repair this unit is not a serviceable part, see photo. Unit needs basket gear case and tub to repair. This unit is not serviceable. Found the dryer not heating on arrival. The igniter will glow but now ignition from the burner assembly. Verified gas is turned on. I removed the front panel and found the main coil not connected. I think it vibrated out of place. After reconnecting the coil I ran the unit and now receiving a flame. I checked the exhaust temps on high and checked ok at 155 + or - 10 degrees. All functions of the dryer have been restored. I asked the customer when they had the vent in the home cleaned and its been longer than two years so I recommended it to the customer. All functions restored after repair and heating properly. Job completed.

Found the unit giving a locked rotor error or locked motor. The bearing on the motor is bad and preventing the drum from turning. I removed the belt and spun the drum by hand and no abnormal noises and it rotated properly. Ordering motor and belt. Found the Control panel failed and allowing water to get on user interface control. I took photos for verification of the failed panel. The control shorted as a result. Need to replace both parts. JB OUT 12/21/24Customer service for door doesnt close properly and sometimes pops open by itself.Upon arrival found latch misaligned. Adjusted door latch and catch. Found the valve not energized when asked for fabric softener. I removed the control panel and found the connector getting 121 volts but it wasnt connected to the softener valve. I reconnected it and now the valve is functioning as designed. All functions restored and job completed.
