frigidaire washer Customer states the unit is not washing and ripping the clothes. Found the drain pump is not working so I can’t drain the rancid water that is in the unit. Unit needs a new drain pump. When the water is drained and I find what has stalled the drain I might did the contents were what was ripping the clothes. The tears look like they are from twisting or getting stuck between the basket and bellow. Inspection of the bellow leads me to believe the unit is being overloaded. Pump boot looks like it is about to break.PRIOR TO INSTALLATION THE UNIT NEEDS TO BE COMPLETELY DRAINED OF WATER. ANY WATER LEFT IN THE UNIT WILL END UP ON THE GARAGE FLOOR. IF THE UNIT IS NOT DRAINED THE REPAIR WILL BE POSTPONED UNTIL THE UNIT IS IN SERVICEABLE CONDITION. Unit turned off upon arrival. Asked customer what happened. They said first I’ve stopped the the fridge started warming. Found that under the deli bin was full of water indicating a defrost issue with the RC evaporator. Removed cover and found the thermistor was loose and the suction tube was pressing against the cover. Moved lines an reset thermistor. Added two extra screws on the top portion of the cover for better sealing. Reinstalled parts removed to access the evaporator. Unit operating as designed. No leaks noted.

Inspected unit and found the Ice Maker fill tube has an ice blockage. Removed IM and defrosted the IM and fill tube. Checked for water at the dispenser and watched the tube for several minutes. The tube did not drip once. Reinstalled the IM and forced a harvest. IM harvested normally . Freezer temps are about 5f. No leaks noted.
