Jeff. Call Jeff at GE tech-support. We found that thermostat on top of the cavity opened when the potato inside caught on fire. There is smoke tarnished inside the cabinet. Smoke damage and tarnished was not caused by faulty of microwave. It was caused by the food catching on fire inside either buy food not being prepared properly for microwave or by being cooked too long. As I said before unit is installed with wood screws going through the top of the unit and hanging from the cabinet. This unit is a table top i’m not meant to be installed in this fashion. GE needs to be contacted and see if they will pay for repair and if they will give me double labor to uninstall and reinstall this microwave. If GE pays for the repair but not to uninstall The unit that will be at customers expense. "Upon arrival customer complaint was that it was taking too long to dry, the light would not come on inside, and that it was making bad noise. Checked for lightbulb and found that this model does not have an internal drum light. Started unit and let it heat for about 20 minutes and unit heated and tumble normally with no noise and exhaust temperature at 140. At customers request I soaked down a heavy blanket with water from the water hose in the front yard and got it soaking wet. Put unit in dryer at that point to attempt to reproduce sound. No abnormal sounds. Unit functions completely and 100% normal. Please inform customer of COD charges for a return visit"
