After investigation found that noise was significantly louder when cardboard back panel was pressed against the running compressor. Found that back panel is warped in a manner that inverts it into close proximity to the compressor. Adjusted back panel for better clearance. Unit is cooling normally at time of visit with proper temperatures. No functional failures other than noise issue. And no issues with cooling. Reported to Frigidaire.

Under close inspection from both technician and customer it does not appear that coating is damaged any longer as there are no visible marks. Advised customer that this is likely due to self sealing anti-fingerprint coating. Customer states right hand fresh food door does not seal correctly. Found right hand fresh food door seal had gap in the lower right-hand corner that was caused by plastic hinge backing. Adjusted both fresh food doors upwards to provide door seal clearance above back plate. Unit now tests good with no damage to unit or home. Advised customer that higher than quoted labor rate will be required to replace door skin than what was originally quoted over the phone, as 2 technicians will be needed to perform the repair. Compressor came on and begin to function as designed. Within two minutes compressor shut off which I shouldn’t have. So I proceeded to change the thermostat. Plugged refrigerator back in compressor came on refrigerator started cooling. Watch refrigerator for a few minutes stayed on and is still running. Did notice though it’s plugged into a GFI outlet in the garage. Informed the customer That is not recommended and could potential cause unit to shut off once the compressor goes to turn on or even when the heaters activate Due to the unit pulls more amps during these times.Recommended to have a designated outlet without a GFI.
