Plugged in unit and it began to drain. Let unit drain until the pump shut off(about 5 minutes. While checking installation I found the drain line is connected to a hose that runs outside . Informed customer that this is not how the drain is to be connected. Instructed customer to check the drain requirements in the installation guide. Checked faults and found an 8-1 and 0-5. Explained to the customer the drain situation is the reason for the failure. I assured him if he followed the install manual the unit will work as designed.
