Entered diagnostic entered forced defrost successfully and then proceeded to test compressor, evap fan motor and cond fan motor unit working as intended and showing good frost pattern. Explained to cx how previous tech misdiagnosed his unit. Cx insisted that I had to install a compressor on the unit. I explained o him that the compressor was fine and working properly he then questioned why the previous guy ordered that compressor. Removed snack drawer and found that RC evap is fully frosted over cause if poor cooling. Ordering correct harness. Harness was not pulled for me. Instructed customer to unplug unit since they re not using so ice could defrost. Removed and replaced evap cover and evap motor. Unit now functioning as designed cx approves repair at this time. No dents dings or scratches caused by tech.

Rescheduled cx for 9/10. ; ordrng 1 W10427967 (cntrl-elec) and 1 WP8183270 (latch), Removed and replaced motor control. Unit is still doing the same thing. Called tech line. Tech line said to change UI board and harness. Removed motor control and will return it. Upon ordering UI found that it is discontinued.

After investigation found that noise was significantly louder when cardboard back panel was pressed against the running compressor. Found that back panel is warped in a manner that inverts it into close proximity to the compressor. Adjusted back panel for better clearance. Unit is cooling normally at time of visit with proper temperatures. No functional failures other than noise issue. And no issues with cooling. Reported to Frigidaire.

KITCHENAID REFRIGERATOR KBFN502EBS02 Customer states left fresh food door skin was damaged by contractor spraying cabinet varnish on to it. Under close inspection from both technician and customer it does not appear that coating is damaged any longer as there are no visible marks. Advised customer that this is likely due to self sealing anti-fingerprint coating. Customer states right hand fresh food door does not seal correctly. Found right hand fresh food door seal had gap in the lower right-hand corner that was caused by plastic hinge backing. Adjusted both fresh food doors upwards to provide door seal clearance above back plate. Unit now tests good with no damage to unit or home. Advised customer that higher than quoted labor rate will be required to replace door skin than what was originally quoted over the phone, as 2 technicians will be needed to perform the repair. Also advise customer that door skins are often slightly off shade when replaced, and customer feels that no repai
