Tech can hear light humming from lower area of unit. Unplugged and rebooted unit and still have same noise. Tech pulled upwards on vent and the assist allowed vent to extend to upwards position. Now side fan controls op as designed tested all fan speeds. Top power button still does not engage the retract mode. Removed switch and used jumper wire. Vent hood retracts as designed. As vent hood extends tech can hear the load on the motor nearly stops the vent hood from rising to full extension.
