Repositioned the control box so the thermistor was exposed to the RC and set the unit to its recommended temperature. Set the FC control to the coldest setting to restrict the amount of air coming into the RC and give the thermistor a chance to read the RC temp. Instructed customer to set the RC to a warmer setting if it is too cold in the RC.

Cycled unit through diagnostics and found unit with fault code. Tested valves and found cold valve opening and heart valve opening. Outdoor temperatures are above 106°. Pipes are really really hot. Informed customer to purge water through soaking. Ran unit through diagnostics after water was purged and unit passed all tests were no errors. Job complete
