Los Angeles
Summer is winding down and school will be starting soon.  Our beautiful countryside is moving from Summer to Fall and you might be looking for a few things to do with your children to enjoy the last bits of Summer, or just some quality time before the hustle and bustle of the school schedule starts up for another year.  Look no further, here is a list of a few things to do in and around L.A. in September.
Do you have a little builder in your life, or a Lego enthusiast, or BOTH?  The Autry Museum in Griffith Park is hosting a Lego Derby on September 10th.  Children of all ages can build a Lego race car and then race it on a pinewood style track.  Sounds like a perfect family adventure for your little Lego fan.
How about a visit to the La Brea Tar Pits?  The annual Tarfest at La Brea is held on September 16th this year and is FREE!  Walk around, listen to live music, shop local artists and vendors and visit the gourmet food trucks.  Whether you have been to the Tar Pits several times before or this would be your first visit, a free community event is a surefire way to experience this natural phenomenon.
September 23 is the BUBBLE BONANZA at Kidspace Children’s Museum!  Did your elementary school children just start back up in school and you are looking for a way to unwind?  Look no further than the Children’s Museum, it is always a good time but on this day you have the added fun of playing with giant bubbles!
